Welcome to The Imperfect Downtown Hostel!

Hey there, traveler! We’re so excited to have you here. Before you dive into the fun, let’s go over a few ground rules to make sure everyone has an awesome stay. By booking with us, you’re agreeing to these terms, so give them a quick read. Trust us, it’s worth it!

1. GENERAL INFO

This is the boring-but-important stuff. These rules apply to everyone staying or visiting The Imperfect Downtown Hostel.
We might tweak these rules from time to time, but don’t worry—we’ll let you know if anything major changes. You’ll find updates in the common areas or in your inbox.

2. BEING A GOOD GUEST

  • Check-in like a pro: Bring a valid ID (passport or national ID). If you’re arriving after 10 PM, you are required to leave your passport as a deposit until the following day, when reception registers your check-in and the room payment is completed. “No passport, no accommodation.”
  • Respect the vibe: Be cool with the staff, your fellow guests, and the space. No disruptive or illegal behavior, please. If things get out of hand, we might have to ask you to leave (and no, you won’t get a refund).
  • Food & drinks in rooms:
    • We get it, snacks are life. But please keep all food and drinks (yes, even alcohol) out of the rooms. The only exception? Resealable water bottles.
    • Got the munchies? Chill in the common areas to enjoy your food. If we find food or drinks in your room, we might have to charge a cleaning fee of 1,000,000 VND.

3. RESERVATIONS MADE EASY

  • Your reservation is safe with us until the day of your arrival. After that, we might give your spot to someone else if you don’t show up. Reservations will be marked as a no-show after 8:00 AM the following morning if we receive no notification from you about a late arrival.
  • To lock in your booking, we need a deposit. If we don’t get it, your reservation might be canceled (we’ll email you if that happens).
  • Pro tip: Make sure your booking includes the full names of everyone staying and a valid credit card to guarantee your spot.
  • Room rates are awesome, but they can change. Keep an eye out for updates.
  • Traveling with a crew? Sweet! Just remember that shared rooms have a max capacity, so check the room details before booking.

4. PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

  • Pay up when you check in. We take cash and major credit cards. If you’d rather pay at check-out, we’ll hold onto your passport until the bill is settled.
  • Need to cancel? No problem—just follow our cancellation policy in Section 5.

5. CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Plans change, we get it. Cancel up to 48 hours before check-in for a full refund.
  • Cancel within 24 hours of the day before check-in? We’ll charge you for the first night.
  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations (after 5 PM the day before check-in) will be charged in full.

6. AGE LIMITS

  • Shared dorms are for the 18+ crowd.
  • Got kids under 18? They’re welcome in private rooms or dorms, but only if they’re with an adult.

7. LIABILITY WAIVER

We’re all about good vibes, but we can’t be held responsible for injuries, damages, or losses caused by personal negligence or breaking the rules. Play safe!

8. SMOKING & DRINKING

  • Smoking:
    • Keep it fresh—our hostel is 100% smoke-free. That includes vapes, e-cigs, and anything else that makes smoke or vapor. If you light up in your room, we’ll hit you with a 3,000,000 VND cleaning fee.
  • Drinking:
    • BYOB? Not here. All alcohol on the property must be purchased from us (we’ve got cold beer at reception!).
    • The only exception? Transparent, resealable water bottles.

9. ROOM RULES

  • Break it, buy it: If you damage or lose something, we’ll charge you for it.
  • Report issues: Spot something broken when you check in? Let us know ASAP so you don’t get charged for it.
  • Quiet time: From 11 PM to 7 AM, it’s hush mode. Keep the noise down so everyone can catch some Z’s.
  • Visitors: Your friends are welcome in the common areas, but no visitors in the rooms.

10. SAFETY FIRST

  • Your privacy matters. We won’t share your room number or presence with anyone (except law enforcement if needed).
  • Security cameras are rolling in common areas to keep everyone safe.

11. CLEANING

  • Our housekeeping team cleans daily. Help them out by keeping your stuff tidy.
  • During cleaning hours, we’ll turn off the AC and open the windows to let in some fresh air.
  • We’re not responsible for any lost items, so keep your valuables safe.

12. CHANGES TO THE RULES

We might update these rules from time to time. If we do, we’ll let you know.

Final Thoughts

We’re all about creating a fun, chill, and safe space for everyone. Follow these simple rules, and you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time. Got questions? Hit us up at reception—we’re here to help!
